Significant Uplift in Sales Over the 2025 BFCM Weekend
Global-e saw a 36% year-over-year increase over the Black Friday–Cyber Monday (BFCM) weekend. E-commerce sales through Global-e’s platforms during the promotional season – beginning in early November and including the BFCM weekend – grew by 37% compared to the equivalent period last year.
Black Friday (November 28th) accounted for 31% of total BFCM weekend sales, while Cyber Monday (December 1st) represented 22% of weekend activity.
Momentum in sales built in the weeks leading up to BFCM
The uplift in global e-commerce sales started at the beginning of November, continuing the trend observed during last year’s peak season. Sales momentum built steadily throughout the weeks leading into the BFCM weekend, reflecting the growing adoption of extended promotional periods.
The significant rise in sales seen two weeks before BFCM indicated shoppers’ growing willingness to spend when promotions are available, with this trend continuing to strengthen in the following week.
Consumer Buying Intent
The average conversion rate (CVR) rose throughout November, climbing from three weeks prior to the BFCM weekend and showing a sharp increase during the weekend itself, peaking at a 131% uplift versus the average CVR in the first weekend of the month.
Analyzing the conversion trend during the BFCM week, CVR reached its highest point on Black Friday, with a 146% increase compared to the average CVR in the first weekend of November. CVR remained consistently elevated throughout the remainder of the weekend, with Saturday, Sunday, and Cyber Monday maintaining similarly strong uplift levels.

YoY sales growth over the 2025 BFCM weekend was seen across all regions. APAC rebounded after a slower BFCM last year, recording a notable 21% YoY uplift in weekend sales. Europe delivered strong performance with a 25% YoY increase, supported by an impressive spike in sales seen across many markets in the region. The Middle East, showing a similar growth rate, continued the positive momentum observed in this region throughout the year. North America saw a 12% YoY uplift, maintaining the rate recorded during the 2024 BFCM weekend, with growth this year led by the strong positive trend seen in Canada.
